How to Create a Center Back Placket (in a garment without a Center Back Seam) – Part 2

Mark a stitching line on the facing about 1/4 inch (1/2 cm) from each edge of the center line with a rounded bottom.

Stitch through all layers, shortening the stitch near the bottom corner.

Cut the Garment on the Center Back

Cut on the center back line to the bottom corner and turn the garment right side out.

Open the seam, press the raw edges toward the facing and zigzag the seam allowance down to the facing.

Fold the edge of the garment near the facing and press the placket flat.
